Central provides a range of care options for parents with young children.

During the Sunday School hour, classes are available for Pre-school and Pre-Kindergarten children. These children may either attend worship service with their parents at 11:00 am attend extended session where church volunteers care for them until the end of the service.

Curriculum

Infants & Toddlers  |  God Loves Me 

This delightful series has 52 stories of the bible.  The infants will be read these stories each Sunday and the Pre-School will have these stories and arts and crafts.   

PreSchool and PreKindergarten  |  Godly Play

Children have a natural sense of God and what they lack is the appropriate language to help them identify and express it so it can be explored and strengthened.  Godly Play teaches children the art of using Christian language—parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action—helping them become more aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives.  This Christian language is learned as a means to know God and to make meaning of our lives. Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes will engage in God’s story throughout the year.

Volunteers

If you are a member of Central, please consider volunteering your time to spend a Sunday caring for some of our younger members. This is a great way to fulfill your baptismal vow to help nurture the children of our congregation as they grow in the faith.
