Taizé
In addition to regular weekly Sunday worship services, Central also offers a number of other worship services at different times of the year. Services in the Taizé Community Tradition are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Rand Chapel except during the summer months. During Advent and Lent, services are held each Tuesday. These candle-lit services include repetitive songs, prayer, silence, scripture, and meditation.
Weekly Midday Holy Week Worship Services are offered throughout the week at 12:15 p.m. sponsored by the Capitol Area Churches: The Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Trinity United Methodist Church, and Central Presbyterian Church.
Maundy Thursday services are offered in the homes of Central members by individual parishes.
A Good Friday Tenebrae Worship Service is offered at 7:30 p.m. surrounding the scripture for the evening and music that supports the Word.

Christmas Eve Worship Services are at 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Holy Communion is offered at both services. A Children's Pageant is offered at the 4:00 p.m. service.
Christmas Day Worship is offered at 6:30 a.m. in the Tull Fellowship Hall for the Central Night Shelter guests and family members. Breakfast is served prior to the worship service.
Central also frequently plans special worship and prayer services during times of national or community crisis, or when circumstances call for praise and celebration.
