Mission & Outreach

As disciples of the Risen Christ, we are called to attend to the poor, break the chains of the oppressed, and advocate for a just and peaceful society. God calls the church to carry our faith into the world through lives of service and partnership with our neighbors.

As a church that strives for discipleship through engagement and advocacy in the city of Atlanta, we give our time and energy to multiple mission areas including fighting racism and inequality, ending homelessness, and supporting LGBTQIA initiatives.

Background

Pollard and Covenant Grant

The Pollard and Covenant funds were established to improve life for marginalized communities by creating relationships with local non-profit organizations through financial contributions and in-person opportunities for service. The goal of the Pollard and Covenant funds is to create sustainability for projects or services that may require different sources of funding to maintain operations for a specific fiscal year. In doing so, Central Presbyterian Church becomes a partner with these organizations allowing for the opportunity of meaningful work in the city of Atlanta.

We will have information on the 2024 application process coming soon.
