The Central Night Shelter occupies spaces
in two churches located in downtown Atlanta: Central Presbyterian
Church and The Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The Central
Night Shelter relies on volunteers to fulfill its mission.
Some of these volunteers come from its host churches, but most are
not members of Central or the Shrine.
Central Night Shelter
welcomes the support of all people interested in participating in
a ministry of compassion for the homeless. The Night Shelter
Coordinating Committee has created this website to answer the questions
of prospective and active volunteers. Most of the information
in this website is also in the Night
Shelter Manual.
