The safety of our children and members is of utmost importance to Central Presbyterian Church. Please follow these guidelines; if you have any questions, please email John White or call him at 404-601-3135.
- Use of Central Presbyterian Church vehicles will be by church-sponsored groups only.
- Scheduling and use of the CPC vehicles must be coordinated through the church office by completing a Church Vehicle Request form (this form is available on the CPC website—Member Resources from the main navigation tab).
- All drivers of CPC vehicles must be CPC members/staff and have prior approval from the church, must possess a current driver’s license, and have provided the church office with a copy of this license. Our insurance company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check before use is approved for any driver 70 years old or older.
- Please make every effort to schedule check-out and check-in of vehicles with the church office during regular office hours (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 Friday). Should you find it impossible to meet this time frame, please contact the church office to schedule an alternative method.
- The Vehicle Mileage Log must be completed each time this vehicle is used. This form should be completed before returning the logbook and keys.
- No smoking is allowed in any CPC vehicle.
- The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas. Please leave your receipts for gas (and any maintenance expenses incurred during your trip) with the church office at the time of check-in. Arrangements will be made for you to be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses. If you are unable to return the vehicle with a full tank, your group will be billed $50 for use of the van or $75 for use of the bus. It is understood that many times vehicles may not be returned until late at night. Please feel free to fill the gas tank the next day, but before you turn the logbook and keys into the church office. Make sure this additional time is scheduled as well.
- Any accident with or without damage to this vehicle is to be reported in writing IMMEDIATELY to the Facilities Manager (see also Accident Procedures included in this book).
- Any routine maintenance or mechanical problems should be noted on a Maintenance Request card found in the logbook and given to the church office personnel at check-in.
- The vehicle should be returned clean. Please remove all personal belongings and trash. Make sure seats are put securely back in place if they have been removed. If mud gets tracked into the vehicle, please clean it out immediately (it stains!). If something breaks (the glove box, a door lock, etc.), please let us know so it can be repaired. Let’s keep our vehicles in a condition we can be proud of!
Remember this vehicle is your equipment, too. Use it, take care of it, be careful, and many “happy trails to you”!
